Backing pads

Choosing the correct backing pad (backing plate) for your polisher is essential to achieve control and a professional finish. Small diameters (32–50 mm) are ideal for precision work—mirrors, edges and corners; 75 mm for medium details; 125–150 mm for large panels and fast, even polishing. Consider pad thickness: thinner pads increase flexibility for contoured surfaces, while thicker pads give stability and even pressure on flat areas. Mounting options include hook-and-loop (Velcro) for quick pad changes and PSA (self-adhesive) for a more permanent fit—always ensure pad and backing pad compatibility.
