Bases and binders form the foundation of effective industrial and truck coatings. Bases act as the carrier medium to distribute pigments and additives evenly across the surface, while binders are the film‑forming resins that fix pigments to the substrate and deliver adhesion, flexibility and mechanical strength. Common binder chemistries include acrylic, epoxy, polyurethane, alkyd and silicone—each chosen for properties such as chemical and UV resistance, impact resilience or heat tolerance.
