Polishing pads

Polishing pads are used to restore gloss and remove defects on painted and other glossy surfaces. We stock foam, wool and microfiber pads in multiple diameters that fit Dual‑Action (DA) and rotary polishers when matched to your backing plate. Foam pads typically come in three grades—Cutting, Polishing and Finishing—with manufacturer-specific colours and intermediate grades for finer step‑downs. Cutting pads remove heavy swirls, oxidation and scratches; polishing pads reduce swirl marks and light scratches; finishing pads apply polishes, waxes and sealants with minimal cut to deliver a high‑gloss result. Wool pads are more aggressive and excel at deeper correction, often followed by a foam or microfiber finishing pad. Microfiber pads cut fast (cutting and finishing types) and are effective for rapid defect removal and restoring clarity. Common sizes: Ø200 mm (8") for high‑volume buffing, Ø150 mm (6") as the most versatile size, and Ø70 mm (3") for headlights and tight areas. Always match pad aggressiveness to your compound/polish, polisher type, speed and applied pressure for optimal paint correction and a mirror finish.
