Coating Removal

Items per page

Stripping is the initial, aggressive stage of surface preparation to remove old paint, varnish or other coatings. Removal can be chemical (paint strippers) or mechanical — scraping, sanding (sandpaper or abrasive brushes) or media blasting. The goal is a clean, bare substrate free of residual coatings so a new coating can properly adhere. Always degrease before painting and follow safety and disposal guidelines.
